POP! The Invention of Bubble Gum by Meghan McCarthy 

This is a great Nonfiction book for kids. I think it would be good for 1st and 2nd graders. The students will love this book. It has interesting pictures on each picture about bubble gum, and facts about the history of how bubble gum was invented. You could really do a lot with this book. You could bring it different kinds of gum (flavors), you could bring in different bubble gum flavored things. Such as ice cream, cotton candy, suckers, etc. This is something that will get the children's attention, while also learning some history about it.
